FAQs

When should I book my band?
Generally, most bookings are secured 12-18 months in advance. However, since the 2020 pandemic, we’ve seen an increased demand for live music and now recommend booking as soon as you have your date and venue confirmed or as early as 18-24 months in advance.
How can I secure a band for my date?
To secure a band for your date, we kindly ask for a 50% retainer payment and a signed contract. Once your contract and invoice are delivered to you via your client portal, we’ll place a “soft hold” on the band for up to 4 days. As soon as we have both elements on file, your band will be locked in for your date! To ensure all clients have fair and equal access to our bands, we are unable to hold them past the 4-day mark.
How much does it cost to book a band?
While costs vary based on a number of factors, such as your date, the size of the band, the type of event, the location of your venue, and much more, you can estimate that most packages will run between $8,000 and $12,000.
What's involved in the planning process?
Once you’ve secured your band for your date, you’ll be introduced to your questionnaire(s) via your client portal, which will also provide you with access to our past emails, your contract, invoice, your band’s song list, and more. In order to facilitate the smoothest planning process, we ask that you complete your questionnaire(s) 2-3 months prior to your event date. About 6 weeks before your event, we’ll meet with you to ensure all details are finalized. If you have any questions, we’ll be there to guide you every step of the way.
Can we ask the band to learn special songs for us?
Yes! Most of our wedding and event band packages include up to 3 song requests, mostly used for first dances, parent dances, and other similar formalities.
Do you provide insurance?
Yes! Copies of our COI can be provided upon request.
What is your cancellation policy?
All reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate initial requests to reschedule the original event date at no additional charge, contingent upon the band’s availability for the new date. There is also no cancellation fee for events that are cancelled prior to the 3-month mark. For cancellations that occur later, fees vary from 10% to 20% of the original invoice total.

It’s not a frequent occurrence, but to be honest, yes, sometimes musicians get sick or need to address a rare family emergency. What we can promise is that our decades of experience in the industry have given us access to the best musicians in the region, which means that in any case, we will ensure that your band is intact and will still deliver the caliber of performance you’ve come to expect from Bright Set Entertainment.
